Open Stand Model: Acadian

Acadian variant of the Open Stand Model (OSM.Acadian) is an implementation of the OSM modeling framework with calibration for the Acadian forest including Maine, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and PEI.

This Variant is being used mostly in New Brunswick for forecasting forest development and for strategic management planning by the NB Dept. of Nat. Res. And Energy Development, Crown timber licensees, Universitè de Moncton, University of New Brunswick, FORUS Research, Leading Edge Geomatics, Northern Hardwood Research Institute, and by some private landowners. This variant has also been used by the State of Maine in their State of Forestry report in 2022 and is being evaluated for use by the Nova Scotia provincial government.
